GUIDELINES
IIT Bombay is going to conduct GATE 2021 on February . Candidates who have applied for the exam can look at the GATE 2021 exam day guidelines & last minute preparation tips. GATE 2021 exam day guidelines are important for candidates because it will help them in knowing about the things to carry, reporting time, formalities inside the exam hall, etc.
GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering taken by the BE/BTech/BSc (Engineering) Graduates, Diploma holders, etc. After qualifying the exam, candidates become eligible for admission to IITs, NITs, etc. On the other hand, they can also apply for PSU recruitment through GATE if they were qualifying the cutoff. Candidates some time get nervous in the last minute because of pressure of the exam. However, they should not lose their calm and keep remembering the things they have studied. Check GATE 2021 exam day guidelines and last-minute tips below.
GATE 2021 Exam Day Guidelines

✓ Carry GATE admit card and one original photo identity proof for appearing in the exam.
✓ Do not carry banned items such as mobile, pager, watch, etc. inside the exam hall.
✓ After entering inside the exam hall, candidates’ biometric information will be captured wherein photo and fingerprint will be recorded.
✓ After occupying your seat, check the system allocated should be in proper working condition.
✓ Then verify your photo, which will be appearing on the screen on right-hand upper corner.
✓ Candidates will be able to login their account twenty minutes before the start of the examination.
✓ Read the important instructions, which will appear on the screen after logging into the account.
✓ Make sure that the invigilator provides you scribble pad for rough work.
✓ Mention the GATE registration number on the scribble pad.
✓ Go through all the questions asked in the exam and make a quick strategy to solve them in the stipulated time.
✓ Start your exam by attempting the easier questions first.
✓ After answering a question, click on the “save” button to save your answer for that particular question.
✓ Keep calm while attempting the numerical questions in order to avoid errors.
GATE 2021 Last Minute Tips
Do not start studying anything new, which you have not studied at the time of GATE preparation.
Focus on more and more revision of the studied subjects so that you can remember the things in the exam.
Study the notes, which you have prepared in order to revise more topics in a short time.
Have a look at the GATE previous year question paper in order to understand the priority of topics to revise.
Try to revise the things by making diagrams, as it will last in your memories for a long time.
Gate is all about self-confidence and hard work so keep your spirits high to qualify the exam
